Good morning everyone:
I have a question about the ceiling plan's underlay orientation. Everytime, when I try to create a new level, the underlay orientation of the ceiling plan of the new level is always "PLAN" not " Reflected Ceiling Plan". No mater which version I used, Revit 9.1, Revit 2008 or Revit MEP 2008. I got the same result. Any idea?Is that a bug or I did anything wrong? Thanks for all your help!

When I open a ceiling plan and go to View Properties and select an underlay, such as the Level1 plan view, the Underlay Orientation is set to Reflected Ceilign Plan. I am not sure what your are questioning.
Of course I would expect the default Underlay Orientation would be set to the related floor plan for the ceiling plan. Is that what you are asking as well?

Thanks for your reply.
My question is when you make a new level, for example you make a level call level 3. The underlay orientation of level 3's ceiling plan is "Plan" not "Reflected Ceiling Plan". No mater which version I use, Revit 9.1, Revit 2008 and Revit MEP 2008. Only default Level 1 and Level 2's underlay orientation are "Reflected Ceiling Plan".

It is inconsistent, but I wouldn’t call it a bug. The underlay is off by default. It is normal and useful to have a plan underlay for an RCP. IMO it is the RCP underlay setting that ‘wrong’.
