Hi all:

I seem to have a problem getting an imported dwg to render anything but gray.
As you can see in the photo, my fireplace renders gray, even though I have every object setting in the model/material/import catagories set to "laminate white, matte"....
I have set everything in the whole file to this material setting, and have imported the model six ways from sunday with no change.

The fp was created in sketchup, and has compound curves, etc., that I can't do (yet) in revit.

Irony here is, I created a trelles in SU that had the same prob., but behaived correctly
once I reset the imported object styles. This fp is driving me to drink :(

tia for any insight

I suggest to check your material definitions. It is a common problem for AccuRender textures to be mapped to bitmaps in wrong folders. Then AR can not find them and renders objects gray.

I re-pathed my textures (settings/options), no avail...

All Better:

I created the fp as a custom family, pure Revit.

Maybe I'll post the result in the gallery :)
