I don't see anything in the help, or in an AUGI search, although I did learn that the only way to delete them is through a purge...
Is there some kind of hierarchy to styles (similar to AutoCAD)?
While I'm at it, how do you set the default leader style?
thanks,
Lionel

Revit will generally default to the last style used. Try opening your template file and selecting the dimension tool. Select the style you want, save the template and close it down.
The next time you open the file it should be set to your new 'default'. This works for almost all family types, walls, doors, components etc.
As for leader style, that is saved with the dim or text style.

Thanks Dimitri!
That was driving me nuts! I hadn't realized that the last-used setting was actually stored in the file...
