I used a break line in a detail, and I go to print, the filled region shows up black when I preview the PDF. I opened the break line file, the filled region is No Hatch w/ a solid white fill. Is there a setting I'm missing?

No, it prints as it's seen on the PDF..

Downloaded family, created new project, loaded family, created basic wall, inserted detail breakline, plotted on HP 6110 fine. Preview was white. Plotted white (no color)

Have you tried a new project, with the same results?

I am also suffering from the same type of printing behavior at my break lines in sections a solid black filled region appears when i print to the wide format xerox 6050. i will try the gray scale option and let you know how it performs.

OK, I didn't see the post above about a greyscale. It worked on my detail sheet. I will check it out on elevations. Thanks for the help.

Somewhere in this forum is posted a fill pattern that is so large it appears to be white. It fixes some of the problems associated with the standard solid white fill pattern. If you do a search for solid fill problems from about five or six months ago you will probably come across it. Hope this helps. I'd post it but I am not at my work computer.

BomberAIA,

I tried the gray scale settings in the plotter setup. The solid fill on the break line problem did clear up however all of the hatch in the wall sections are now very light. One problem solved another started.

Print in color, not greyscale. (assuming your printing to a black and white printer). If you don't use colored lines in your revit projects, just black and white, then you can allways leave the color printing option checked and you will be fine. Greyscale will mess up your lineweights. Black and white will mess up your shades.
