Selecting objects to schedule

Is there a way when generating a schedule to include only objects that have been tagged in the selection set. Im trying to select only certain members in a timber-frame detail (see attached dwg) and its a real pain in the behind having to go in and tag and then select individual members (as you can see from the drawing) to generate the schedule.

Read up on Classification...this will allow you to perform selections by group for inclusion in your schedules.
