I retract that comment, I read the read me!

I love this one
* Stability
o Application is less likely to crash
After installing this service pack, I can now use Raster. Before, anytime I would insert an image, Autocad would just shutdown. :screwy: But it works now :Puffy:

I spoke to soon :roll: It half way fixed the problem. I can at least insert an image using the standard command in AutoCAD. I can even open a drawing with an image in it. Before it didn't matter. If there was an image, AutoCAD would crash. Now only the map insert and raster design insert crash the program :? I guess I will have to forget about using Raster until I get my new computer or IT decide to reformat this one.:(

We will henceforth call you "Crash Test"
I say get all the good stuff off of your machine.
Secretly issue the REGEDIT command
Delete Keys and Values like a virus, remove your system
restore folder, and reboot. Then you should get a
fresh install.

Already done that three times now. :banghead: It will work fine for a while (like right after the IT person leaves) than it screws up. I'm about to throw this computer out the window. I have been having problems with this computer and 2005 since day one. :evil: From corrupted windows profiles, images crashing AutoCAD, Communication Center not working, Buttons on toolbars not working. etc.... I got some of these fixed, but this is getting ridicules. I have never has this much problem with a new version of AutoCAD. Heck, I had less problems with R13 on Win95. I just think this system needs to be reformatted. I've had it for 3 years and have had a ton of software installed and uninstalled. I redo my home computer every 6 months.

I just have to say I love Raster Design 2005 :x
Okey, just got a new computer. Everything installed and updated. Everything running smoothly until last week. Then I started havening the exact same problem as before :x
So I did some more searching and found a post by another unlucky soul in the Autodesk discussion group with the same problem. There was a post about going into the Raster Design options, under the memory tab. There you can set how much RAM to use for images. I had this set to use a nice amount of RAM. In the post, the guy said to change it to 0mb. So far its been working. So if anyone else is having this problem, try that. It seem to work.
