If I create a subassembly (fill slope) and it reaches beyond the existing ground line, how do I attached a ditch on the end?

I haven't had much experience with this but you could try to simply edit the section (Corridor->View Edit Corridor Section) and add the appropriate subassemblies.

Are you saying that the fill slope catches beyond the edge of your target surface?

If so, you may have to "invent" some data, and artificially extend the target surface so that the daylight subassembly has someplace to hit. There was a post recently, I think on Autodesk's web site, on how to use C3D to "project" the edge of an existing surface outward - search for "kringing".

Just proceed with caution, because you can get into trouble by extrapolating data in this fashion... But the only "real" alternative would be to send a surveyor out to the field and collect more topo.

My roadway width varies (24' in some areas then expands in other areas). What subassembly should I choose that allows for a varying roadway width. Do I need multiple assemblies for this or only one assembly with the correct subassemblies? Thanks!

You can use the standard pavement section assembly and use a target alignment at the desired edge of pavement. By just assigning a width target it will still maintain the cross slope of the pavement section.
