I think its useful that grids are visible in 3D. Also with tags.

It would be very nice to have that capability, in the mean time check out my post on how to do it now.... http://bimmanager.blogspot.com/2007/10/revit-grids-in-navisworks.html

David,

I'm not sure if some functionality was lost when Autodesk took over navisworks, but I don't see the property "grid" showing up in Navisworks 2009. I exported directly to .nwc from Revit. Did i miss a step?

What steps did you take?

What steps did you take?
1. Load the family you posted into project
2. copy/monitor the grids from the project
3. pick/lock each grid
4. edit properties of grid to change name from "A" to each grid name
5. tools- external tools- navisworks 2009- save
6. append into existing project
7. select grid, no property listing the grid name is found

I checked the settings of the exporter and the "convert element parameters" is set to all.

In Global Options > Selection > Resolution set this to First Object, or if you do not want to change this you can can hold down Ctrl while selecting an object, this will toggle through the possible selections. What you're probably getting now is the geometry of the grid which has no properties
