i was kicked out along with my question from the Revit General Forum to your forum. i have never messed with API. that being said is it possible to create a text parameter with the Edit Text option (please see attached PDF).
Similar to the Project address parameter under Project Information (under the setting menu)
i was told this might be possible with API
i appreciate any input
Thanks - Mo

You can't choose the editor for a parameter in the properties dialog as shown. However if you have a particular object you wish to set a text parameter using a multiline text control then this is possible using the API. The User would select the element then run the command and this would show a text control for the particular text parameter.
