View Full Version : Flow Parameter in a custom mvpart

I was bored tonight and wanted to see how close I could come to throwing the computer out the window, so I created a custom mvpart.

I made rooftop units in various tonnages, each with a supply & return duct, as well as condensate drain and gas line connections.

Everything works great, except that I can't seem to add a flow (CFM) parameter to the units. Diffusers have the Flow tab, and so do VAV boxes... how do I get that for my rooftop units?

I tried adding a "custom data 1" parameter, naming it "Flow", giving it units of "CFM", and entering the values for each unit, but that doesn't quite do it...

Perhaps throwing the computer out the window is the fix?

Perhaps some screen shots would help...

Hi Buzz (sorry if that's not your real name)

Please note that I've moved your thread here as I believe it is a better place.
Thanks

In case anyone tries to do this too, I think I figured it out...

While looking into changing the Part Type for a different mvpart I was creating (see this thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=70751), I decided to try changing the Type of part that the rooftop unit goes under.

I had set it to be an Air Handling Unit > Roof Mounted AC Unit

If I change it to be a VAV Box > RTU, it gives me the Flow tab

Since a rooftop unit is not a VAV Box, this "fix" is not ideal, so if anyone knows of a better way of accomplishing this please let me know...
