Just using the mapclean command to tidy up a drawing. It freezes whenever I check the 'apparent intersection option'. Why this one and not others?

Have you run any of the other options against this data?
I would think that breaking crossings, shorts, and dangling
objects first, then snap and desolve the nodes
Then probably re-run removing duplicates, shorts, break, snap
and desolve all over as a group.

I ran delete duplicates, erase dangling, simplify obj and zero length.
I could always try it your way... ;)
