i'm designing an apartment building and are doing each floor plan in its own file and then importing in the floor plan into a building plan as a link. The problem is that when I go to an elevation view it will have the level markers i set up in the building plan but will link in all the floor plan levels as well. What i end up with is an elevation with 20 or so markers when all floor plans are linked when all i want are the ones i set up for the building plan. Can anyone help me out with this? Also, i'm still quite the beginner with Revit (about 3 weeks) so any simplified advice would be much appreciated.

Linking Floor Levels is only recommended in the very early Conceptual design stage
because... one of the limitations of linking is the management of your Display settings
Go to your visibility Graphic overrides and click on revit links click on Basic tick Custom
go to Annotation Categories Change to custom turn of Levels
you have to do that in all Linked Files You can do it also in one View then Save a view template and apply to other views
Well you see linking Floors is a bit of a ADT concept and only worthwhile
if you are very early in Design or build the Freedom Tower
