Can anyone help????
Is there a way to adjust the settings of the Sheet Issue date display?
In the titleblock family, the date parameter shows as day, month, year. However when I load the titleblock into my project, the date display shows month, day, year.
Can I change this somewhere. I can't find a setting anywhere
If anyone knows, let me know please.
Thanks

The date parameters aren't "date sensitive/aware" (they just act like Text parameters). You can enter any text in them, even garbage text. So you can format the "date" to look any way you want. Just type it in!
Sounds like you want non-US date formatting, which is controlled from Windows Regional Settings in Start->Settings->Control Panel.
FWIW my date formatting in the date stamp comes out UK style day/month/year.

Antony,
You and ws must be referring to a timestamp label. It will show the current time at the moment titleblock is shown/printed and will use formating controlled by Windows via Control Panel > Regional Settings. This label is not appropriate for sheet issue date because it will change every time you print your sheet.
As dbaldacchino implies for sheet issue date you should use the label of type text so you can type a value and it would stay constant. Then you enforce your formating convention manually.
This label is not appropriate for sheet issue date because it will change every time you print your sheet.
Ah... er, so it does
Many thanks :)
and sorry Anthony... you are right - I see now that the sheet issue date is always in US date format by default, even in the UK, and you have to manually enter a date in the correct format.
A bit weird but harmless I suppose ;)

Thanks for the help guys.
The answers is as I suspected. That you will have to enter the date manually to control it.
So I haven't replied sooner, the instant notification wasn't working.

Why is it that we don't have the flexibility to choose various formats for this label? There are so many different format variations for displaying a date... Why am I stuck with just MM/DD/YY? Text/Labels have so many limitations in Revit - hope that gets changed soon.

If you read this entire post, you'll find that the label we're talking about in the titleblock that houses the date is a text parameter. Which means, formatting is up to you! Just type in the date any way you like it and you're on your way. There is no limitation as you're perceiving it.
