Roof Help

I've created this roof by Extrusion. Looking at it in plan view its square. I'd like it to be shaped like the top left view. The lines you see in the top left are detail lines.

How can do I do that?

Select the roof, then in the options bar click edit plan profile, then draw the shape you want to cut out of the roof.
