View Full Version : Wall Join Fill Pattern Missing

Ref. attached. I have tried messing with the wall joins, but I can't set this to work at this one corner. Other corners seem to be fine. This corner removes the fill pattern.
Also, if you are to have two different materials on different portions of a wall - that are inline, is it better to split the face and paint a different material in one area (but this doesn't change the wall section appearance, right?), or to run two different walls together in parallel, which gave me some issues too?
On the split face option, if it doesn't change the wall section construction, what use is the information when used for a wall section? Am I missing something?
Thanks,

Also, I have a parapet at the top of my wall. I have 4 walls using this parapet, which are in the form of a rectangle. At two of the intersection, the parapet cleans up in a nice miter. At two of the intersections, the parapet slams into the side of the other parapet, with an ugly butt joint. Not sure why it's different?
any help?

Here are the attachments to explain the two issues.
Sorry I forgot to attach one to the 1st message.
The Wall Fill Pattern, missing - I think I ended up painting it to the pattern I needed to match the wall. Not sure that this was the right fix, but it works for the moment. Not sure why I had to do this though, as it's a stacked wall with the stone wall finish at the bottom 3', so I would think it would show up with out any issues. Still wondering why it works at some corners, and not at the one shown.
Still cursing the Parapet issue, it works at two corners....not at the opposite two. Debating about deleting the wall and redrawing it...2 steps back for 1 step forward?
Hoping others can help me, it's weird to have a thread with 3 posts, and they are all yours!
Thanks,

I had the same issue with the parapet cap; I fixed it by putting a sweep into the wall definition. Works much better on the miters.

Yes, my parapet cap is set up as a Wall Sweep: Profile: Parapet Cap-Precast: 16" Wide (OOTB). Still acting funny!

Well, I worked out the Parapet issue - somehow one wall got a top offset of some weird dimension - 1-37/256" or something. Not sure how I managed to get that in there. Once I removed the offset, all parapets are playing nice with each other again.
Noticed some other weird things happening, that I had to pin my exterior walls to keep it from happening again. I got some exterior walls shifted by about 3/16". It was very annoying when I discovered it. Any one have ideas on what can cause such things, and is pinning the exterior walls the best way to avoid it...or should I be doing something else?
Thanks,
