I'm having a problem with displaying civil points. It is only an issue in one project. All drawings in this project have the same problem. The drawing regens quickly in MAP, but takes 1hour+ to regen in LDD. I can toggle points off in the Display Manager and make the regen faster, but I need the points to create a DTM. I am currently the only one having this problem with this project. Any ideas welcome. Thanks
Al

Have you tried Packing the point database to clear out unused points? Do yyou have the latest SP installed? Didn't notice which version you were running but in LDT 3 there was an issue with points and access speed on a server that was resolved in one of the later service packs.

I have tried Packing the point database. I am using LDT3 Service Pack 1. I recently had machine problems, formatted the HD, reinstalled LDT3 and LDT5. I'v been experimenting

-Same problem shows up in LDT5, but only with this set of drawings linked to this project.
-Opened in Map and used appload to load all of the .arx files in the Land Desktop 3\Land folder. Everything SEEMS to be working. This will do for a temporary work-around. possibly some other app loaded with LDT is corrupt and needs to be reinstalled?

SP2 has been released for LDT 3. Also, if you have any of the Extensions for LDT3, there have been problems with them loading once you install LDT2004, Not sure about 2005 yet. Another thing to look at is the DFM file for the project to see if it has been corrupted. Move it out of the project folder and recreate/reassociate the drawing(s) to the project to see if that helps. LDT will create a new dfm file for you.

If that doesn't work, try recreating the point.mdb file by moving the existing one to a folder out of the project path and running check points AFTER you have all points inserted into the drawing ( I would create a new drawing to do this in )

I ended up narrowing it down to my Windows profile. Had to wipe that one out and start fresh. Turns out it wasn't a CAD problem at all.

I didn't catch this out of the gate, however
remember that the points do not need to be in the
drawing in oder to use them. Even if one remove the
points from the drawing, they are still in the project's
database and available for use at any time with any
Land Command even if not on the screen.
