transfer project standards brings linked dwgs categories

Hello,
I've used transfer project standards from older project into now one, and lot of categories from linked dwgs in older project were created, inspite the fact that no linked files are present in new project.
Is there any way to either avoid importing these categories or delete them? I'm able to delete only individual layers (one after one / with 10-15 files each lot of layers), but at the end not to delete the category of linked file itself....

I did the same thing, but I actually transferred into both a current project and the office project template. I got frustrated and spent the time creating a new template. However, today I was working in the project file with the unused categories and went to Purge Unused. The dwg files showed up in the list and I was able to delete them.
