I am trying to utilize the graphic column schedule for our concrete columns, but what is happening is that columns will only show up if they are on grid. This is a problem for columns that have one face align, but get smaller as they move up the building. See attached jpg. I was curious if anybody else has run into this issue and what there fix was. I created a new family for these columns with the origin point along that face, which works, but means that I have duplicate column types for each family which I would like to avoid. So if any one has a more creating idea I am open to suggestions.

Can you offset the columns graphical display in the x,y dir after you place it on the grid?

I must be missing something. How do you accomplish that? Is there a hidden parameter that I have overlooked?

Well I was sadly mistaken. I assuemed that you had most of the same options as we do in ACA. In ACA you can offset anything in just about any direction.
I guess in your case, you'd need to create a new family with the insertion point at the face rather than the center.
