Does anyone know of a way to lock a camera view in Revit so that others can't come in and rotate/move the view that I created. Also, with 3D views, is there a way to lock a 3d view or create a camera from those? It's getting pretty frustrating!
Thanks for any help.

This is one of those strange things in Revit.

Create your view. Hit F8. Hit the save button (Floppy Disk.)

Users will still be able to pan and zoom around and create havoc with your views but when the file is closed and reopened - all the views will be as they were saved.

There is also a little undo button that resets the view to when it was last saved.

Unfortunately, you will need to reset them before printing or they print as they are.

How's that for trivia....

This doesn't seem to work on Revit Arch 2009. F8 only activates the steering wheel in the view. is there a way in 2009 to do this?

When in a 3d view go up to the view cube display and right click the "Home" icon (looks like a little house) There you can save the view.

You can also find it as a menu item choice at View / Orient.
