Dimensioning Storefront/Curtainwall

The views I have set up for Elevated Window have everything turned off except curtain panels, mullions and the like. I also turn off walls in these views.

I would like to be able to dimension from out-of-mullion to centerline-of-mullion, etc, but can't because the gridline of the mullion won't pick when 'walls' are turned off.
Of course I can't turn walls on, dimension, and then turn walls off, because the dimension will disappear.

Is there any way around this?

Is this for some kind of legend?

Is there a way to override the wall to be transparent, so that you can still select the grid, and have the view look the way you need it to?

Hey there,
Two things you may want to do....
Use the elevation view crop box to cut off at the walls or use the hide feature to hide the wall. Both work.
