Split face on radiused walls?

I have a need to use the split face command (or suitable workaround) on a radiused wall. The splits I need to do on the wall are random and could be rather complex. Anybody have a way or workaround to do this?

I don't think split faces are possible at this point. I tried a couple of months ago to split a wall horizontally, but with no success. Ended up stacking wall on top of each other.
