You may already know this, but I thought it was kinda neat.
Ever needed to extend your structural columns to the beam above it? The extend command doesn't work, but here' what does.

Right click on the column and choose trim, then add trim plane. Then, all you have to do is hover over the edge of the member above. If it's at a slope, it will trim it to that slope. It even works with linework, so you could draw a line at a certain elevation and use that as your trim plane. You can even select all of your columns and do it all at once! The column doesn't even need to be in the same X or Y plane as the member (or line) you are trimming it to.

So if I have a beam over column, I just have to right click. That rocks. Now I have to see if this was a feature in 2007 as well.
