Hi

I need help please.

I would like to create my own family of trusses using revit architecture.

I tried many templates including generic models .

my biggest problem is when I try to load it into a project it does not load properly.
Can someone out there please help me .I would like to include formula so that if I load it to a new project all Need to change is e.g length or width.I need to know which template must I use .I need step by step guidance .I have been battling for two weeks with this assignment.I need help please.

Hi,

I included two standard truss families I made a long time ago.
Maybe you will find them helpful in creation of your own families or you could use them as they are for now.

In any case they should give you some idea how you could approach the problem.

Just one thing: I made the Jack Truss invisibile when looking from the ends - this is to prevent them from printing in a section views. You may change it of course.

If you go to dgcad.com and click in Revit 9 (detailing) and then go to Lesson 4: Framing plans, you will find a very cool video about how to create framing plans. I do not know if this is what you are looking for but I think it can help.
