I am looking for a way to best show Wiremesh reinforcing for my slabs. I cant seem to find a way to make a line pattern to represent the mesh -------X----------X-------- Does anyone know how to make this pattern or is there some way to import this as a rebar for an area reinforcement?

One way you could do it is to create a detail compponent using linework (-------x) and use a repeating detail to add it to your slab.

I like starting my repeating detail like the one described here with half the line - a space - the "X" - a space - then half the line. I find it turns corners better.
Does anyone have any comments on this? I am really wondering if there could be a potential problem with doing a repeating detail like this.

Like this one? Using it for three years with no problems.

That is just what I had done. I was just wondering (other than that curve thingy) if there were any problems with it.
Thanks for the response,

Ah, got it. Thats what I thought you meant. I'm sure someone will figure it out soon. for now I'm just thankfull we don't do curved slabs. Wait a minute. I may be getting confused with dynamic blocks but can't you do some sort of array parameter in the WWF family?

I created this for a company that uses it for a fence line. It was for Architecture not structural.

LOL - you sometimes have to go around a mountain or a creek in this area!

This is the one I made -- I wish it had gaps around the X's, but they do change size for different scales.
