Slab and beam joints

Hi:

I have put slab on walls and and I have beams going across like any other concrete structure with columns placed at given intervals. Now when I create section and zoom into the beam and slab detail, it shows the joints. In architectural section normally we show beam part of slab without any Joint line in between. Is it possible to remove that joint line? I tried doing split but I think that won't solve the problem.
Please help.

Try the Join Geometry tool. This should do what you want.

Use join geometry ( under Tools ) to join the slab and columns and all will look the way you want.

how does this joint between slab and beam happen. i cannot get the plaster below the slab to disappear as it goes 'through' the baem. what i want is something like the image attached. image courtesy GirlForRevit.
