Another question for you about Auto CAD LT. I do mostly Architectural. I format units to architectural. I use dimension style mgr and primary units I change to architectural and precision to 1/16. I run into a problem when I begin to draw. The exact dimensions I enter, say for a rectangle do not transfer to my drawing correctly. If I type in coordinates often 24.5” shoes up on the drawing as 24 9/16 or 24 7/16. If I use the pointer I get the same: as I try to position it just right for 24 ½” the numerical values show down at the left screen skip and show one higher or lower. This does not happen all the time. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike.

Look into LUPREC, and DIMDEC, and DIMRND

key in the fraction or try adding another decimal point.

The precision specified in the dimension style does not affect coordinate entry. It only affects how the dimension you apply displays the distance. To change precision for coordinate entry, edit the precision value in the UNITS command.

The solution to this problem is outlined here

When dimensioning the, you notice the number occasionally changes as you move the pointing device to place the dimension.

Solution

This behavior can occur with certain settings of the DIMDEC and DIMRND dimension variables.

Setting DIMDEC to a higher value or changing the value of DIMRND should eliminate this behavior.
