I am creating a new titleblock family and I would like to have white text in front of a black filled region. I understand that I need to place the filled region on a workplane that is set behind the workplane of the text, but it appears that I cannot create a new workplane - is that a limitation of the titbleblock family?

Probably best to make your white text on black background in something else, like photoshop, and then bring it into the Revit titleblock as an image.

Wow.. Serious? Is that because Revit cannot achieve this, or is it simply becuase of the limitations of the titleblock family? This is new to me and I am trying to grasp it all... Thanks for the help.

Make it almost white - we use 252-252-252, and it looks white.

Daniel is right (arent they all :-) )
Yu need to use a different RGB value for white. 255-255-254 will do. Anything as long as its not 255-255-255.
It's a know defect but i tought it was correctd, anyone on that?

I think that this wasn't the question. I think that Scott answered it already, although the 254, 254, 254 trick is still valid for all the situations where the white area is required. I mean that while the pure white (255, 255, 255) may work already OK - I don't know - I still use 254s as a habit.
