I was playing with the default railing in Revit and I noticed that when I am in the sketch mode and I draw a line and finish my sketch, the railing does not generate in the middle of the sketch line but 2" offset. I checked the properties but I can not find any parameter to make the center of the railing the same with the sketch line. In fact, is there any way to do this?
Thanks.

Its not the railing itself, but the elements of the family that makes it 2" away from the location line

Any ideas to solve this?

Find the railing family and edit it's properties. I am not in front of revit right now, but I recall that there is a vertical position for each railing member and then there is a number for offset. The offset is what you want to change to be zero.

See the attach images, some places that allow you to offset the railing
I've just been viewing the latest dgcad.com video tutorials on railings and they explain just about everything you would want to know about railings.

No free clips, but I found it a good investment.
