looking for a suggestion....bold plan/greyed out plan

i'm setting up sheets for structure drawings....i'm having trouble setting up my first floor plan the way i would like regarding visibility. I want my structure (coulmns / ledgers) to be dark and the surrounding plan to display as an underlay. am i going to have to use a plan region to accomplish this?

have tried turning off everything but structure and using first floor as underlay....but because i turned off the walls in the visability settings of my "structure first floor"..... the underlay comes in without walls

any suggestions?

got it...graphic over ride per view....by catagory

Go into Visibility/Graphics, set everything to Halftone except for structural elements
