I know its a long shot, but does anyone happen to have a revit model (or 3d CAD model imported into Revit) of a Sikorsky Helicopter?
I found a model of a generic heicopter on Revit City, but it wasn't a Sikorsky and the client wasn't too happy

Can I nominate this for the weirdest post award?
Seriously though, I'd go look on some other sites to find a model of the correct helicopter. Form Fonts or something like that might have one. Also, check for sketchup content as you can load that as well. Anything you can get into a DWG will also work such as .max or .3ds. You might have to pay for it, but if a client wants it then you can probably justify the cost.
Now, if you find a model I can give it parameters for you... (Number of blades, elevation above ground, tilt, yaw, rotation, number of missle pods - you didn't say what Sikorsky model so it might be military...)

I found this last night. In an email from the site I was told that this model is made of 3d meshes. not solids and that I can get it in 3DS, sketchUp or 3D AutoCad format.
How well will meshes transfer / translate into revit? and what format would be best to import into Revit (ACAD or sketch up)?

It should come in fine, I've had the best luck with sketchup models, they seem to keep the colors very close and don't triangulate as bad as dwg

Thanks for the advice! I just heard back from the site, and if I buy the model they give it to me in all of the file formats they offer. So I can experiment with wich one will work the best
