View Full Version : Different lineweoght for different wall types
Is it possible to change the line weight of the walls so they are not the same. For example when I "draw" my precast elevations I want ht e outline of my precast walls to be heavier then another walls like block work walls etc?
I had a look under Object Styles but I am not sure how I can assign different line weight to the walls.
Thanks

hehe, yep. Once again filters are the method I use. I have one for masonry and one for precast.
Mate, the filter function is VERY handy :)
I created filters and then added them to my view templates.
I had only used it for turning objects on or off not to change the visibility of them - I had never looked to the right of the visibility checkbox.

It would certainly be nice to be able to do this without Filters, so that the line weights are reflected project wide. Also the ability to set line weights on the individual layers in a wall's structure.

You should be able to specify layer linestyles using the Override Host Layers option:
Open Vis/Graphics dialog, select Cut Line Styles checkbox, click Edit button. Modify layers as needed.
Note: override is by Function and will show for any element layer using the same function (Floor, Wall, Roof, etc).

That gets you part of the way, but still not on a per wall style basis, and globally.
