I am working on a site plan primarily in AutoCAD 2008, but am building a toposurface in Revit so that I can see grade in the Revit building model. I have linked the CAD siteplan into a revit model that I have created the toposurface in and then linked the Revit toposurface model into my building model. All of the links seem to be updateing and working appropriately except I would like to see the CAD siteplan in the building model for reference purposes, but would prefer that it come in as part of the linked toposurface file instead of reinserting or linking it into the building model. In CAD this would be like a nested xref...I can see that it is possible to nest revit models into each other, but cannot find a place to do this with a CAD file. Any thoughts?

There is no Reference Type available for AutoCAD drawing like Revit file
