Solar Study

I am attempting to create a solar study to see the effect of the sun INSIDE my building. I've created the study in a 3d view oreinted to the top. I also created a section box so that i can see past the roof and into the interior.

The problem with this is that this keeps my roof from casting a shadow and the entire interior is illuminated. How can i see the interior of my building in plan while the roof continues to cast a shadow????

Hey there,
If you are doing this for your own use in order to do a study....here is one trick that I have used.

Place a facia or other profile around the edge of the roofs. Then, under the new visibility settings, hide the roof entirely or change the visisbility to be transparent. You will be left with the profile facia which will cast a shadow and show you how much sun is in the building. (You just have to "ignore" the sun on the roof side of the facia profile.)
