Roof Annotation

I'm trying to create a roof annotation that references the Slope of the Roof. There does not seem to be any way to select the Rise/12 Parameter embedded in Roofs. I have tried creating a roof Tag and a Generic Annotation which have a parameter called roof pitch, but I cannot seem to link this to the slope of the roof?

Any suggestions?

tags can't access the rise rise/12 parameter. you'll need to create a shared parameter to represent the roof slope. embed this parameter in a label in your roof tag family. likewise, load this parameter into your project (via project parameters) and associate it to the roof category, mark it as an instance parameter and add it to the dimensions parameter group (this will make the parameter available when reviewing the properties of the roof ... it should reside right next to the rise/12 parameter). you'll need to manually fill the parameter to whatever you want it to read. the roof tag will pull this info.

it's not automatic, but it works.
