Hi,
I want to print out a design to mark out some wood.
However i cant seem to work out how print an autocad 2004 view, to paper, so that it occupies the 'real-world' physical dimensions of the design.
At the moment when i print in 1:1 , it prints 1:1 with the screen, which is not what i want to do.
Many thanks in advance,
chris

Are you trying to plot from Paperspace w/ a viewport? Be sure the viewport scale is 1:1, specify the Plot area to a window, window the area you want; specify Plot scale 1:1.

i was going wrong by not setting the viewport scale.
What does XP and nXP mean?
I typed z 1/1xp is this right? It prints out correctly.
Thanks.

From Help on zoom
Enter a value followed by xp to specify the scale relative to paper space units. For example, entering .5xp displays model space at half the scale of paper space units. You can create a layout with each viewport displaying objects at a different scale.
The n in nXP just specifies a number (as in .5xp above).
