I’m struggling with understanding why I am getting an over-constrained warning.
The attached project is a single room.
The intent is to be able to schedule the room dimensions.
My solution was to create a family in place with instance dimension parameters added to the project and associated with the mass category.
When you open the project you will see tiled, a floor plan, and a mass schedule.
The walls of the room are locked to the mass. When I try to flex the dimensions in the schedule I get the over-constrain warning.
Is there another way to be able to schedule room dimensions?
Thanks

Using a mass to create a room dimension schedule is clever.

However, as you have found you can't constrain a wall to a mass. Revit wasn't designed to work that way. What you can do is place your walls by face. This will associate the walls with the mass. The update is not automatic. You will have to use the remake function, but this should be quick and easy. Look up the tutorials on building massing if you're not familiar with the remake function.
