First, what is the best way to do some interior arches?

I figured I could make a door family that has no door... just an arch opening. Is that the best way to do it?

Second,

How can I make some exterior arches like the one shown in this see pic:

I get the feeling that using a door family won't work as the arches have to expand from column to column. any thoughts?

Finally, I'm trying to make an exterior wall just like in this pic:
http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3961/2032001ig7.jpg

I can get the 8" wall with the right hatch, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make that extra 1" of stucco shown in the outside. I would like to show that 1" of stucco but I don't want my dimension to measure from it. All dimensions should measure as it if was an 8" wall

Thanks!!!
Leo

A generic model wall based families for the arched openings so they don't schedule as doors. For the exterior arches, do you mean at the porch. Then the same. For the windows you will make the window family(single arch) then nest it into a host window family, copy 3 times and build the arch trim around it.

When you set up your 8" wall with 1" of stucco on the outside set the core layer between the two and when you dimension set the little drop down at the top to "faces of core".

Great... although, my questions are getting dumber, I just made a custom family from the "Generic Model wall based" with the right opening/arch. Now, how do I use it / load it in my model?

Something like this?
My problem is that the hatch goes from the 8" core to the 1" finish

Both your core and finish layers are assigned material <By Category>.
You need to assign a material with a different fill pattern for the stucco.

You can load your family into a project from the family editor (at the bottom of the design bar you should see a Load Into Project command) or from the project File>Load From Library>Load Family.

It will be placed using the component button on the basic tool bar, then in the pull down select the family you wish to place. Sounds like a good time to run through the "getting started with Revit" Tutorial under the help menu.

If you want to see the individual layers of wall components, make sure the detail level for the view is set to medium or fine. If it is set to coarse, it will only show the outside faces of the wall.
