Revit seems to be crashing when importing a DWG file. Has anybody seen this before?

Can you define "seem to crash" please.
Did you try to clean up the drawing before inserting?

Hi All,
I am having a similar problem.
This this instance, I am commencing a new drawing.
I am importing a cad drawing for the land survey, when importing or linking the drawings I get an error messages which says:
"An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window. This window shall be closed" - Very Helpful error message??!!
I have tried simplifying the drawing by changing all of the layers to one single layer and deleting any blocks etc. I then purged the file & audited the file in AutoCad. Everything int AutoCad file seems hunkydory but still no luck with revit.
Any Clues?

Further Update from above.
In a moment of inspiration (I have them only rarely, so it is worth noting!!) I thought to turn off Open GL Hardware acceleration.
Yippee it works.
It is interesting that even though I have had Open Gl turned on for all the time I have been running Revit (9mths) there has never been a problem with imported AutoCad files in the past.
Why it chose this file to spit the dummy I do not know.
Cheers,
Ian
