Greetings,
I'm trying to make a very simple pavillion with some columns and arches
here is a screen shot showing it in 3d... "so far" it looks okay

Now, when I see it in elevation the doors inside looks cut off (only when I place the cursor on top of the door I can see the full door)

It's like the arch didn't exist.

HERE IS THE MODEL (http://www.ruizbritoarchitects.com/download/test01.rtv)

I made the whole thing by creating custom columns and then creating a wall that went from T.O.COL to T.O.BM and created the openings using a "Generic Model wall based" family

Also, how could I make a roof that looks like this (at least in the elevations)

interesting... I was able to fix my problem by selecting the opening and setting it as "Hide in View" :? is that the right way to construct this thing?

and how do I get a hatch like the one in the autocad pics. Thanks!

Sounds like you didn't create that family correctly for the arches. Did you create it as an opening cut in the family editor, and not as a void cut?

I used "Opening..."

I tried using "Void Form" first, but it didn't cut anything :p it just made some orange lines!

EDIT- ha! I just did a combinaion of Void Form and cut geometry that worked just like I wanted

Sure you can do it with a void.
But you didn't solve the issue with the opening cut arch.

Select the opening cut in your Rfa
All you gotta do is Check Transparent in "ELEVATION"
