Hello there,
Does anyone know how to make a table header repeat itself when breaking up a table into various sections using the cyan triangle at the bottom of a table?
I use 2008 and it'd be pretty sweet if I can get this one to work.
Also: I've been trying to generate a table that can be placed in a toolpalette to be used on any drawing scale. So far I still haven't found anything that would make it respond to the dimscale for instance. I placed a table in a block at some point that I made to insert by dimscale but then the text styles used in the table wouldn't cooperate.
Any clues/tips/hints anyone?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
To repeat the table header in a split table. hightlight the whole table then pick properties. At the bottom of the properties under table breaks at repeat top labels pick yes
as of AutoCAD 2008 release, the table split is now available.
Right click a table and choose properties. At the bottom of the properties design tab under table breaks under enable choose yes. you also have a choice on
Repeat top labels.......... repeats title and headers if at top
Repeat bottoms labels.......... repeats title and headers if at bottom
Manual position........... allows manual positioning (spacing) splitting of table
Manual heights........... allows manual breaking of table
Break Height.........automatically breaks table at set height
Spacing.........automatically sets the spacing between table breaks

I am experimenting with tables and I had the same question on repeating the top line. I am linked to a spreadsheet, but am unable to get the top line to repeat. I did everything you suggested. Would this be one of those "it doesn't work in LT" problems?
Background:
Recently updated from R14 to LT2008 and trying to familiarize myself with all the "new" features, such as dynamic blocks, tables, annotative dimensions, etc, while still trying to do my regular workload and keep my head from exploding.

I think I figured it out. I had to change my top row to headers in both the cell and row properties.

You will also have to make the Header a "label". You can do this in the table style editor under the general tab.
Set the properties type to label and it should work.

A succinct and perfectly worded answer. Too bad you don;t work for Autodesk, they could learn allot about help from you.
