is it possible to re-arrange the order my sheets are shown on the project browser?
my sheet # system is:
S-0001 etc. for general structural notes
SB101 etc. for foundation plans
SF101 etc. for framing plans
S-3001 etc. for sections/details.

the problem is as follows: in my browser the s-3000 series sheets are placed before my plan sheets. when i cut a section on a plan and place it on a section sheet (and that section cut happens to appear on another section) the section number on the sheet shows that it is first cut on the section sheet instead of the plan
(1/s-3001 instead of 1/SF101).

i hope my rambling makes sense.

any help is always greatly appreciated.

Since Revit will sort ascending or descending you could use a sheet parameter for that (SheetClassification) and you can name them 1(S-001), 2(SB101), etc...

thanks for the reply.
do you mean to rename the section view to 1/SB-001 etc.? this is something that i want to avoid since the project is constantly evolving and sheets are being re-shuffled.
my view title family has the sheet number set to the 'referencing sheet' parameter.
what is the sheet classification parameter? is that an actual parameter for the sheet or is that in the view title?

thanks again..

You can add a 'sort order' parameter to your sheets and the you can use that to reorganize your browser.

I am trying to resort my drawing drawings list also. I added a parameter called " Drawing Number" which I can use in the "Group by" function, but I can't use it in the "Sort by" function. How do I get it to show up in the "Sort by" drop down. Currently it only shows

Sheet Number and Scale.

Hi,
I have question too about organizing the browser. Is it possible to create folder for the drafting views? Would be really hand so you can put say all blockwork details in folder etc.
Thanks

Jonas

DJN,
I don't think the project parameters are availabe in the sort list. Revit will sort alphanumerically under the groupings.

Jonas,
We can't customize to that level at this time. I blieve the folder idea is on the wishlist. If not, feel free to post a wish. You can a pretty flexible system using a combination of grouping, sorting and naming conventions.

Thanks, I had a feeling that was going to be the answer. Sure would be nice though.
