Ok, I have a 2-Story Residential building. The footprint of the second floor does not line up directly with the First Floor. So I have some roof the covers the first floor and some that will cover the second floor. When i "attach" one of the first floor walls, (to create the Gable), the wall then shows up on my second floor plan. What can I do to avoid having this wall show up on the 2-Walls, when I attach it??

I think i could probably use Plan Regions, but I dont like the Idea of having to place them to "Hide" a wall.
Thanks

You could select the wall you do not want to see, right click and select "hide element".

When ever I have projected or cut lines that I do not want to see I will:

1. try to use the linework tool, select (invisible)
2. fill region with white lines will mask out anything. You can also use a combination of white and black lines in a filled region to help the mask blend in with the adjacent linework in your drawing.

3. a white line will work well also

4. best suggestion ever, if you don't want to see something select it, right click, hide element!!! not category. to turn it back on use the lightbulb to see whats hidden

good luck
