Does anyone know where I could find a Stone Hatch Pattern? Or give me a little guidance on creating one. I just know the very basics of creating a new Pattern.
Thanks

Our template has tons of fill patterns including several different stone model patterns. You can open this small project and bring the fill patterns into your project using Transfer Project Standards.
Many of the stone patterns were already loaded into a family file that someone else posted on here years ago, so I consider it free trade.

I have found the free StoneCAD application to be an excellent resource for stone fill patterns:

I'M WONDERING WHERE TO GET STARTED?

Load the StoneCAD application on a side computer or something then you will be able to navigate the subfolders, where you will find "Revit-specific" patterns.
Some of the cad patterns are too large and will not be accepted by Revit.
FYI, fair warning on cad hatches in general. I have taken some cad hatches (created by LSP) into Revit only to see them corrupt my objects. A simple cad pattern can get too long and complex for Revit to play nicely with it...
just my observation...

This was a huge help! Thanks a bunch!

Use the File/Tranfer project Standards commands. You'll need to have both files open in the save session of Revit.

So has anyone found a workaround for "cad patterns are too large and will not be accepted by Revit"? What makes it too large for Revit?
BTW: thanks to PATRICKS for posting that awesome little file. Saving my day...

We have, described here: http://www.hatchkit.com.au/faq_detail.php?id=7
Revit imposes constraints on both visible and invisible hatch dimensions presumably to keep hatch item sizes from being either too small or too large to draw on buildings or similarly sized objects.

Line weight of the hatch makes it too large for Revit, unless ofcourse the hach pattern is inserted a a large scale.
However if it is at a normal scale then it relies on the line weight of the hatch for creation.
As of 2010 hatches are tied to lineweight one for all material objects.
As for filtered objects then instead of line weight 2 as they were originally tied to they are now tied to the projection lineweight of the object specified in the Object styles.
This is encouraging as it could mean an additional option for hatches in the future.
As for now this new enhancement has allowed us abit more freedom for making our hatches change line thicknesses and producing nicer production drawings then in the previous release.

If you don't mind the scale you can fix it in Excel.
Open Microsoft Excel, press Open chose the .pat file then Open it replacing the comma there will be an optiong before opening chose Delimited and there you can multiply or divide the numbers.
