View Full Version : Fixed Rim Elevation

I'm creating a pipe network for an existing sewer system and need to set the rim elevation to fixed values. I've gone in and manually adjusted the rims to the correct elevation but when I save and open the drawing the rims adjust to the surface elevation. I've tried removing the reference surface from the structures but it won't allow it once the surface is set. Is there a way to select all of the structures and set the auto surface adjust to "false" instead of just one structure at a time, I have a couple hundred structures. Thanks.

I have also been looking into an answer for this. It's been a little while since you've posted, have you had any luck?

No solution other than choosing each structure one at a time and setting the auto surface adjust to false. This holds the rim elevation until I make a change to the pipe inverts attached to the structure then it reverts back to the surface elevation. The only other solution I can come up with is creating a surface from the survey on the rims specifically for the pipe network, but our survey group is currently using LDD and the point objects don't seem to be compatible with 3D '08 so I haven't been able to do that yet.

For inlets I have created a proposed profile and just dragged the grip point at the top of the structure in the profile view to the vertex of the proposed profile and it seems to stay.
