Surface Pattern Visibility Control?

Hi all,

Okay, I have some elevations in a project where I do not want to show the surface pattern for the brick wall. However, I do NOT want to add a new wall type with a different material of "Default" showing for the brick layer.

Is it possible to turn off or control the visibility of the surface patterns in a view?

I might add we also don't want to be putting filled regions all over the place either.

Right-click on a brick wall in your elevation view, and click Select All Instances (or just pick that wall if it's only one wall you need to modify). Then right-click again and go to Override Graphics In View > By Element, click on Surface Patterns, and click the check box to turn off the surface pattern for the wall(s) you selected in that view.

... or you can use Filters, very powerfull tool regarding changing the way you see elements in views. Filter states are saved in view tamplates and you can use them very quickly in other views.
