What does this mean??? I get the message when adding ceilings and sometimes even copying light fixtures.

Probably means that you have room volume calculations turned on, and that the ceiling you are placing is not set to Room Bounding in properties. The note says thats its exluding the ceiling you just placed in calcualting the volume of the room.
