How do you project a ceiling?

I have modeled a ceiling with cove lighting but I want to project that to my first floor in hidden lines. Also I would like to see in the ceiling plan not only the visible edge but the hidden edges of my cove lighting in dashed lines.
any suggestions?

Change the View Range cutting plane height of the Floor Plan to show the ceiling elements, then use the linework tool to outline a dashed line around them, then return the view range to the normal cut plan. The dashed linework will be visible and will move if the ceiling elements are repositioned.
