Hi everybody,
I've been working on a building and I'm stuck with lights.
I have a 3D text on a top of the building which I'd like to look like a neon sign.
How do I do that?
Any help would be appreciated

Does acad have Self-illuminated materials?

There is (since AutoCAD uses Mental Ray as renderer), but as far as I know It will only produce a bright lit object, It will not produce a halo like a neon light has. I don't know if the Global Illumination can do something about this.
The easiest and fastest way for the effect is by post-production retouch (e.g. Photoshop).

If the sign is rendered in one uniform color, then in photoshop you can uses the magicwand tool to highlight (its dynamic), press ctrl+J or copy it to a new layer, then click on layer effects, put an overlay, inner and outer layer glow. No rendering engine needed.
