I would like to create a sidewalk. I don't have any type of sidewalk loaded in my library that i can find. Should i try to create my own sidewalk?

I use the floor tool with slope lines. Not too difficult to setup...

I will give it a try. Will creating it as a floor skew the area calculations for pricing?

If you call it out as a sidewalk and set the correct Assembly code, you should be able to isolated sidewal quatities from other floors.

I need to build a sidewalk that slopes in TWO directions. Does anyone have any suggestions for handling this type of situation?

For a 2 directional slope, make a standard floor slab, then model an in-place void family to cut it to the desired shape.

It would be a lot simpler & better if we could just add 2 slope arrows though

Thanks, guys. I'm with Roger on this one...I would love to be able to control the floor slab with two slope arrows.
I will give the solid/void suggestion a try.

I think the solution would be to make the floor tool function more like the roof tool with slope defining lines and multiple slope arrow. I've cheated before and used a roof for a floor. Not a good solution, but it gets the job done. I've also used the roof tool to establish the planes for the floor and then traced over it with different floor slabs.

Thanks, Aaron. I'll give that a try, too...
