Any New Build (y2k8) Related Oddities?

I am experiencing strange things related to zooming, zoom related issues when opening views, and when selecting tools. These began sometime after installing Y2K8 build.

1.) dynamic 3D views disappear when I try to scroll to zoom. I can only get the model back into view by zooming to fit. Instead of zooming in or out, the view is scroll up and down (out of view).
2.) when opening views- mostly in plan- by double clicking the view in the browser results in view being zoomed "way out in left field", but zoom to fit brings it into view.
3.) When selecting tools- like trim, rotate etc. - the icon doesn't activate at first click. At first, I thought I was moving my mouse too quickly, but it happens so regularly, I am beginning to think there is an issue with me install, or the program.
4.) Text with leaders do not always give me the pick for leader- it just places the text at the first click.
5.) Text doesn't deselect after clicking empty space- have to press esc.
6.) Esc. key doesn't always deselect- often takes multiple pressing to end commands or deselect objects.

just curious...nothing is a real problem, but these things are a little annoying.

Usually mouse and Operating System issue, OS is trying to take over middle button function. Most mice have options to limit this behavior


2.) when opening views- mostly in plan- by double clicking the view in the browser results in view being zoomed "way out in left field", but zoom to fit brings it into view.Cropping views and imported dwgs can cause this. Any chance you have a copy elements out in space from a errant copy, mirror or array use?


3.) When selecting tools- like trim, rotate etc. - the icon doesn't activate at first click. At first, I thought I was moving my mouse too quickly, but it happens so regularly, I am beginning to think there is an issue with me install, or the program.
This sounds like computer issues.


4.) Text with leaders do not always give me the pick for leader- it just places the text at the first click.There are Options that determine which will happen, check them first, one is for text only, the others define single, two segment etc.


5.) Text doesn't deselect after clicking empty space- have to press esc.This also sounds like pc issue, mouse behavior/settings.


6.) Esc. key doesn't always deselect- often takes multiple pressing to end commands or deselect objects.One press will exit some but two are required for many tools that stay "running" when you ESC once. The first allows you to stop the action but keep the command active. If this isn't what you are talkng about then it too sounds like PC trouble.
